# Position Information

Job Description
**This position is located at the Louisa Branch office of the 16th District Court Service Unit**
Provide intake services to comply with code requirements and provide on-call services in response to emergencies occurring after regular business hours. Supervise probationers according to risk assessment classification and probation supervision plan to promote community safety and offender accountability. Provide case management and counseling services that assists the probationers in acquiring skills necessary for responsible and crime-free living. Prepare and submit Court reports and provide testimony to ensure that accurate information is available to the Court. Enter case records in the BADGE Workload module and case file to ensure proper documentation of services provided. Develop and maintain good community relations displaying a polite, helpful, professional demeanor when interacting with the public and agency personnel.
## Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge of juvenile justice system, experience with making referrals using community resources, familiarity with various counseling techniques, knowledge of adolescent growth and development, and knowledge of social problems that impact juveniles. Ability to interview clients and conduct assessments, communicate effectively orally and in writing, and to be able to document services and maintain records.
## Preferred Qualifications
College degree. Experience working with maladaptive youth. Knowledge of BADGE operating system. Experience with YASI risk assessment.

A valid driver's license is required by the time of employment.
